Lieut, Wm. Poole, 84th Foot.
Mortally wounded 25/9/57 and died of his wounds in the Residency 3 days later.
Came with no research. A little basis research done but a bit of time spent could be worthwhile.
His record of service (such as it is), Born Keyworth Leicestershire 4 Jan. 1834, Ensign without purchase , 27 July 1855, Lieutenant without purchase 20 Jan 1856. Served in the Mutiny, present in the actions of Manghown (?), Alumbagh, killed in action at Lucknow 28 September 1857.’
